Key Stage Assessments

In Year 6 and Year 2, each year, the pupils undertake end of key stage assessments, otherwise known as the SATs. These tests assess the progress made by each pupil across the key stage.

Year 2

In Year 2 we administrate the SAT papers during the month of May.

In January Mrs Davies and  Miss Lockett will hold a meeting in school for the Year 2 parents to explain the process and give parents a chance to ask any questions. During this meeting, reading and maths revision booklets are provided as a tool for parents to support childrens learning if they wish at home.

We believe 5 mins reading each evening and practising counting 2, 5, 10 and number bonds will support the children in securing their skills.

Year 6

This year, SATs week will take place week commencing Monday 11th May, 2020. At this time, pupils take a series of assessments which test their understanding of content taught across Key Stage Two. The assessments are as follows:

Monday 11th May: Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (GPS)

Tuesday 12th May: Reading Test

Wednesday 13th May: Maths Paper 1 Arithmetic; Maths Paper 2 Reasoning.

Thursday 14th May: Maths Paper 3 Reasoning.
