In class this week we will be looking at different strategies for adding numbers together.
One strategy we will be practising is to use our number bonds to 10 to help us add on quickly.
Here is an example:
To add 8 + 7
Split 8 into 3 and 5
Put the 3 with the 7 to make 10 then add on the 5 to get the answer.
Try this method with these. Remember you are looking to split the numbers (partition) to make number bonds to 10 to help you add on quickly.
6 + 7 = 16 + 8 = 15 + 7 =
8 + 9 = 17 + 7 = 13 + 9 =

Literacy Homework- Last week we have been learning to add adjectives (describing words) to our writing to make it more exciting. Please write a sentence for each picture and add an adjective. Remember to include a capital letter, finger spaces and a full stop.
